What is Church in Regent Park

Due to the scope of need in downtown Toronto in particular the Regent Park area "Church in Regent Park" has been officially launched as a self governing assembly by Church in the City and the Eastern Ontario and Nunavut district.

Church in Regent Park supervises the community dinners every Saturday through the year, has a Sunday service and many community events throughout the year. They continue to work together with Church in the City to serve the community.

There is a different church and sometimes two, every week, supporting Church in Regent Park by taking turns making meals or providing dessert.

What We Do

We are on a rotation 10 times a year (once a month), providing a full dinner OR dessert, coffee, tea and juice. We meet at Cedarview at 2:00pm and leave for Toronto at 2:30pm. We arrange carpool groups (you do not have to drive to downtown Toronto if you do not want to). The drive takes about an hour to Toronto (it takes longer if there are major (i.e. sporting) events or heavy traffic in Toronto that day), and then set up, prepare dinner OR desserts and then serve.

You can serve where you are comfortable, either with prep and plating or serving and interacting with the guests. We are usually back to Cedarview between 7:00pm and 8:00 pm

This ministry is a wonderful way to be the "hands and feet of Jesus." Try it at least once.
